Went from Pendleton, NY on Tonawanda creek to Lockport on the Erie Canal.
Locked through at Lockports two locks. Had lunch at Widewaters in Lockport
and went back. Two bridges between the locks and Widewater had to be lifted.
Slow go at 10 mph in most places. Went faster on the way back.
Any place that did not have boats or docks I opened (25mph) it up some.
So, a total of four locks and four lift bridges.
Use channel 13 VHF for lock and bridges.
One guy to man both bridges, maybe 1/4 mile apart,
he would drive to each bridge each time
it had to be lifted.
