Salmon

King Salmon, Lake Ontario. Out of Olcott. Friday 8-13-2010
26 lb., caught on a spoon, NK 28, green. 100 fow 60 ft down.
I can tell you one thing. A silver king fights better than a brown king caught in the fall.
This one took me half an hour to get it in.
Lake turned over. Inshore temps were 55-60 deg. Fog along the shore line.
Later in the day a south wind blew the fog out. Down temps were 43deg.
Lost another King on a flasher when the 40 lb. leader broke going the the fly.
My thinking is the knot broke. I should have checked it better after I caught
the Coho on the same rod. Oh well.

Stomach contents of King were 15 Alwifes.  Many as long as 7 inches.
