Ohh, man! how on earth did that happen, yet no damage to the hitch or truck? It looks like it just got REALLY hot for a while, and just started to melt the solid steel base of the ball mount. that is crazy... and awesome... but mostly crazy..... oh, and a coworker of mine told me I should tell you if you need a replacement ball mount, here is a guide to help you out: http://www.hitchanything.com/What-ball-mount-is-for-me.html
